ESTIMATE POLICY

Free Estimates

A free estimate is a visual look only. We don't use tools and we don't do any testing or diagnosis. Free estimates are scheduled on normal business days and hours, at a time that works for both of us.

When We Charge for an Estimate

● A real estate sale or transaction

● Commercial, industrial, or investment property

● A location outside our normal service area

● Nights, weekends, or holidays

● Any use of tools, testing, or diagnostic work

Billable Estimate Fees

$285 per hour, one hour minimum, plus sales tax. That covers travel time, time with you at the property, and any design or calculation time back at the office. We will tell you the fee up front, and you must okay it in writing (text or email is fine) before we schedule. Payment is due at the time of the visit.

Credit Toward the Job

If you hire us, half of the estimate fee comes off the job price. The work must be scheduled within 30 days of the estimate date. The credit is for you only and cannot be transferred or combined with other offers. It is lost if you cancel after accepting, or on the 31st day after the date on the estimate.

What an Estimate Can and Cannot Do

A visual estimate cannot find problems hidden behind walls, inside equipment, or underground. If we open things up and find something, the price can change. We will tell you before we do any extra work.

Only What Is in Writing Counts

The written estimate is the entire agreement. Anything said in conversation — by the owner, by a technician, or over the phone — is not part of it. If it is not written in the estimate, we are not doing it. Any changes must also be in writing.

Pricing

Pricing is good for 30 days from the date of the estimate and may change if material costs change.

Access

We need safe, clear access to the equipment and the work area. If we cannot get to it, the trip may become billable. Whoever can approve the work should be present.

Missed Appointments

A no-show on a billable estimate will be charged. Repeated no-shows on free estimates will make future visits billable.

Our Documents Stay Ours

Estimates, drawings, and load calculations remain the property of Even Flow Inc. and are not to be used to obtain bids from other contractors.
